Attack Gives Back in Arlington
Mission Arlington - Arlington, TX
One of the core values of the Arlington/Midlothian Attack Hockey Club is a recognition of the importance of giving back to the community. Not only does such service provide valuable help to worthwhile charity organizations, it also helps build the character of the athletes as they learn to see serving others as a high priority for their own life. Additionally, such service creates unity amongst the members of the club as they learn to work together off the ice as well as they do on the ice.
This Saturday, members of the Attack spent the afternoon at Mission Arlington in Arlington, Texas. Tillie Burgin, Founder and Director of the organization, met with the members of the Attack and gave them a brief history of the mission, its purpose, and the various things they offer to the community each day.
She then led them outside where they spent their time sorting donated books and organizing storage bins that will be used to transport goods to those in need. Once the work was finished, Mrs. Burgin thanked them and encouraged them to return again soon, noting that there is always more work to be done and more people to be helped.
